About Callie Doruff

Founder of The Legacy Library Studio

I’m Callie Doruff—an anthropologist by degree, a genealogist by training, and a mother by vocation. I founded The Legacy Library Studio to help families rediscover the food, stories, and rhythms that shaped their DNA—and to pass those gifts forward.

Your family table, rewritten by inheritance.
I help families rebuild health and legacy through ancestral memory, nourishment, and design.

✈️ From Airplanes to Ancestral Meals

After years on the road as a flight attendant—sustained by convenience foods, cut off from tradition—I fell sick after COVID and found myself depleted in every sense of the word. I needed more than recovery. I needed reconnection.

That’s when I discovered Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Dr. Weston A. Price. His research on traditional diets—and the degeneration that followed their disappearance—sparked a transformation in how I approached food, family, and health.

I began eating in alignment with the ancestral roots my husband and I share: Austrian and Polish on his side, Irish and Hungarian on mine. I redesigned our meals to support our genes and our future children—one dish at a time.

Using raw DNA reports, I’ve worked with variants like MTHFR, COMT, and FUT2, blending modern insights with food traditions passed down through bloodlines. What began as personal healing became a deeper mission—one that touched fertility, pregnancy, mood, memory, and more.

And it worked.

I conceived easily. My pregnancy was vibrant. My postpartum season was grounded and energized. Our son is thriving. My body is still rebuilding—but now, it has blueprints.

🧬 A Manifesto for Ancestral Eating in a Disconnected World

Most people alive today are eating in ways completely foreign to their lineage—not just culturally, but genetically.

You are likely the first in your bloodline to regularly consume seed oils, ultra-processed grains, synthetic vitamins, and food made by machines instead of mothers. But food is not just fuel—it’s information. When you eat in ways that don’t match your inheritance, your body gets confused. The instructions in your DNA blur.

Modern food is global. But your biology is local.

Each ancestral group developed unique nutritional strengths—ways of thriving on specific microbes, minerals, and metabolic rhythms. When we return to those traditions, we don’t just feel better—we remember who we are.

Ancestral eating is a reunion.
Biologically. Emotionally. Generationally.

It reverses inflammation, supports fertility, stabilizes mood, and builds strong, healthy children. It connects you not only to the foods your ancestors once prepared—but to the vitality they passed down through those meals.

These aren’t just traditions.
They’re strategies for strength.
